How do I know if I have bats? Bat droppings look very similar to mouse droppings. If you notice a pile of “mouse droppings”, it is likely there are bats roosting above that area. There may also be dark discolorations (from body oils) or a white crystalized urine residue at or near the roost entry point. People have even reported hearing squeaking or scratching noises coming from the walls & roof.
If you believe you may have bats, we can come out to your home or business to evaluate your property. Our technician will inspect to identify the problem areas and notify you of any additional areas that may be of concern. It is ideal to screen any potential entry points before the bat roost is addressed. Bats extracted from their main roost may attempt to relocate somewhere else on the structure.
Some bats species are protected and need to be handled with care. If the process is not performed correctly, they might die inside the structure or possibly make their way into the living space. Our humane methods allow bats to exit the roost naturally. When they return they will be met with a physical barrier, which will not allow them to regain entry. Once extracted we can perform the exclusion to keep bats out. We will only remove bats during the dedicated window mandated by California Fish and Wildlife.
